Christmas time, miseltoe and wine :)

So, my first christmas up north seems to be shaping up to be a good one :)
I'm icing my christmas cake tomorrow, and having a little shindig on the 27th, and of course Christmas day with Darren in Berwick. Nom nom nom.

Mess dinner was tres good, didn't even get that drunk, but had an amazing night with Darren and the district staff.

Also, very happy RATM made number one. Especially as we raised nearly £70,000 for Shelter in the process. Well done people!

....aaaaand, just to add to the fun, we're off to look at a flat after the new year

Today's been canny as.

My mum's decided 10 hours of driving lessons makes a decent christmas present, so I can pay £100 off of my overdraft :)
I'm getting a couple of hundred I'm owed back when the loan comes in as well, meaning I'mm be back in positive money for a little while *novelty*

I'm pretty sure I can be better with my cash this year than last as well, which means I can get another couple of hundred paid off this term. Yeahhhh :D

And on top of that, I bought a new shirt today, for the princely sum of one british pound :)
nom nom nom :)

Add to this a trip to the Baltic, getting a semi affordable quote for space, and a shirt for a pound, and you have a very happy Naomi.

Busy times are indeed good times

Well, I'm really that busy, and still end up spending a lot of time doing not very much at all.
However there is quite a lot steadily ticking over in my world right now. I've been learning to drive (again), just got back from lesson number two: adventures on the dual carrieway and fifth gear, got a show to production manage, and a LOT of college work to be handing in.

But the driving is most worthwhile atm, as I have a car :D

The WBL file is going to Kev tomorrow all being well, so that's a blessing. Then it's just PPD and my essay for January, this show for my PM, and a Lighting Design to get assessed on. I'm starting to get on top of things :)

Pub last night for the first time in weeks, which was rather nice. I haven't been drunk in at least a month :)
Even made it to the Head of Steam for one before going home to see Darren. Win :)

Hello strangers....

Well, it seems every few weeks my post count takes a skydive, I blame the fact I'm horribly busy at the moment. I've hardly stopped since Rent, and since then I've done a variety show at college and just finished lighting The Permanent Way at the People's. Sent off my CV in the hopes of more casual work, but given up hope on the pantos as a lot of runs start next week :(

Still, I'm getting a few bob from Jo for working for him on friday, and the bursary comes in soon, I've finally got the hang of being skint. Even if it is poo.
Booked some driving lessons for next month with the last of my pennies, as my theroy test runs out in feb, even though I really cba with driving anywhere, it would be nice for cadets in the bad weather, and even for getting home and back, as I'm pretty sure the fuel to get to somerset costs less than flights?

Even if not it's a good couple of hours quicker, lol.

Oooh, and I got my new ink shaded in a couple of days back. Pictures once the scabbing heals, but rest assured it's epic.

Poppies poppies everywhere...

Phew, just back from my poppy collecting, pure shattered now. Really impressed with the cadets etc though, we went through nearly a dozen boxes :)

Would be nice if the Fight Racism group had taken a weekend off though, while it is worthy cause and all that, some respect for the fallen would have been appreciated by all.

This week has been amazingly busy, from the fit up process, the rehearsal we managed on stage, right through to the shows, I'm amazed by how much it's grown over the last few days, where every first act was getting quicker, every cue was getting tighter and the whole show just became fluid. Just in time for my parents to see it too :)

When the show came down on saturday night I was so proud of everyone involved who made it what it was. Congratulations to everyone :D

Only problem is now I have this massive show-shaped gap.
Luckily I'm working tomorrow *happy face*

So now I'm chilling out with a mug of red wine, pondering tidying my room up and writing up the show, but leaning more towards the not doing much at all option right now. Mum took me on a foodshop when she was here, so I've got tasty veg etc. nomnomnom.
Was nice to see the parents again actually, especially as I'm not going to at Christmas. My mum even brought up a christmas cake she had make for me :D
And they like Darren, which is class.
